The fuselage includes the cabin and cockpit and generally has space and provision for seating and contains all the important aircraft controls. In many cases the fuselage will also contain space for cargo storage and attachment points for the other aircraft components. Yet again the design and composition of an aircraft fuselage will vary according to the desired mission although many aircraft utilize an `open truss’ structure

Airplanes may be designed for a variety of missions and purposes but generally they all possess the same core structure. The overall design may be affected by the varying needs of the user but the basic components of the fuselage, wings, an empennage, landing gear, and a powerplant generally do not change.
